Missions and Outreach

Food Pantry Donations
During the month of January, we will be collecting personal items - toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, shampoo, and soap. These necessary items are often in short supply at the pantry. Thank you for your generosity!
Cold Weather Shelter
The community cold weather shelter (hosted by Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church) is open and serving the needs of those in our area who lack adequate housing. We're teaming up with friends at East Stroudsburg UMC to help staff the shelter during these cold winter months. The next dates for the cold weather shelter are February 10-16. During this week only, the shelter will be hosted by East Stroudsburg UMC. You can serve as a "welcome volunteer," greeting guests and offering them prayer or coffee on evenings from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, or as an "overnight volunteer," staying overnight at the shelter from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Training is available! To volunteer, please contact the church office.
Communion Offerings
On the first Sunday of every month, when we gather to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion, we also take up a special communion offering to benefit local community resource organizations.  We are so grateful for your continued support and generosity in these offerings.
Noisy Offerings
The children of Faith UMC will be taking up a special "Noisy Offering" on the 3rd Sunday of every month.  We welcome your "noisy" quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies!  Our children have selected the child-focused organizations that will receive these donations.
